“ As a Magnet hospital our nursing practice standards are high, and we’ve found Harper graduates are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and well prepared when they start here.”

As the largest segment of the U.S. population approaches senior citizenship, our country faces difficult challenges. Perhaps none are more critical than the condition known as “The Great Nursing Shortage.” At Harper, there’s no shortage of commitment to the cause. By developing innovative partnerships with seven area hospitals, our students receive clinical experience in a curriculum that encourages poise and compassion. Local hospitals benefit by having the inside track on hiring Harper graduates who are familiar with procedures and facilities. A comforting thought, especially when you consider that 73% of Harper’s nursing students stay in the area after graduation.

“ I chose Harper because of its strong reputation. The classes were intense, but the teachers really give you an extra boost when you need it. I constantly recommend Harper to others.”
