Student Qualifications

The CIS Internship program is open to CIS students in the CIS department.
Requirements for enrollment in CIS137-001 (Computer Operator Internship),
and CIS137-002 (networking, NetPrep Internship), and CIS230 (Computer
Programmer Internship) are listed below:

CIS137. In order to
enroll in CIS137 students must fulfill the following requirements:
|
- Obtain the approval of the Internship Coordinator
- Open only to Advanced LAN Management Certificate or Computer
Operator Certificate
- Second semester standing
- Overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
- 3.0 GPA in computer courses
- Submit an Internship Request form to the CIS Internship Coordinator

CIS230. In order to
enroll in CIS230 students must fulfill the following requirements:

- Obtain the approval of the Internship Coordinator
- Open only to Associate in Applied Science Degree: Technology
- Fourth semester standing
- Overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
- 3.5 GPA in computer courses
- Submit an Internship Request form to the CIS Internship Coordinator

|
Students may receive 3 credit hours for the internship experience.
Credits for this course may be used to satisfy CIS elective requirements.
