Online/Blended/Flexible Start Delivery Methods
- Some CIS Online Courses are offered in tradtional synchronous style in which all students work at thesame pace and finish by the end of the semester. These classes are indicated by a Section "059" or "058" in the Course Schedule.
- Some courses are offered in a blended or hybrid style which combines online synchronous work with periodic class meetings. All students work at the same pace and finish by the end of the semester. These classes are indicated by a Section "097" or "098" in the Course Schedule.
- Many CIS Online Courses are offered in the Flexible Start format. These classes are usually indicated by a Section number beginning with 200 in theCourse Schedule.
When reviewing the Course Schedule be sure to read the comments section for orientation information. New on-line courses are being added each semester. The student must be able to connect to the Internet or do their coursework in the Harper Computer Labs. Typically you will need to visit the campus to take your tests and may need to attend an in-person orientation.
