Web Development

Computer Information Systems Web Development is a career program leading to an Associate in Applied Science degree. The technical curriculum trains students for various positions in the field of web development, including web design, web development, web multimedia design, e-learning development, and web site maintenance. The student will take courses in business, marketing, web scripting, web graphics, e-commerce, and database, computer information systems, and general education.

Graduates of the program may find employment as web developers, web designers, web site managers, e-learning developers, and consultants.

The curriculum integrates general education with technical training. Technologies studied include XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, PHP, MySQL, and Adobe Macromedia Flash. Students receive extensive laboratory experience on IBM PCs.
