NET 211: Supporting Operating Systems

Course Description

Provides students with hands-on experience installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting a currently popular operating system. Topics also include troubleshooting desktop user environments, networking and network resources such as printers and storage devices. Recommended preparation: NET 111 and NET 112 or equivalent experience.

  2. Attended and Unattended Installations and Troubleshooting
  3. Upgrading from a Previous Version of Windows
  4. Troubleshoot System Startup and User Logon Problems
  5. User Environment and Multiple Languages
  6. Configure and Troubleshoot Local User and Group Accounts
  7. Troubleshoot Security Settings and Local Security Policy
  8. Troubleshooting Storage Devices and Display Devices
  9. Troubleshooting Power Management and I/O Devices
  10. Collect and Analyze System Performance Data
  11. Managing Access to Shared File System Resources
  12. Network Printing and Offline Files
  13. Troubleshoot TCP/IP
  14. Troubleshooting Remote Connections
  15. Internet Explorer and Remote Connectivity Tools
