Software Development

This is 24-26-credit hour certificate program is designed to prepare students for business software development using either Microsoft.NET or Sun Java. This exposure will be useful to a person whose job or business requires the use of these Software Development languages in a business environment. This certificate provides students with a well rounded skill-set for entry-level software development positions.

CIS 106 Software Development Logic and Technology
CIS 143 Introduction to Database Management
WEB 150 Web Development I
  Computer Information Systems elective:
At least three credit hours of elective selected from CAS 260, CIS 211, CIS 243, CIS 244, CIS 268, CIS 281, CIS 286, NET 121, WEB 200, WEB 240, or WEB 250
Specialization Electives
 

Choose eight credit hours from either:

CIS 181 Visual Basic Software Development OR
CIS 182 Visual C# Software DevelopmentI

AND
CIS 281 Microsoft .NET Web Development

OR

CIS 168 Java Software Develoment I AND
CIS 268 Java Software Development II
