CAP AND CPS
The Administrative Technology Department takes pride
in its relationship with the International Association of Administrative
Professionals (IAAP).
We are a current associate member of the Golden
Corridor Chapter.
Harper College has served as a testing site for the Certified
Professional Secretary®and Certified Administrative Professional®
Exams since the 1970s. The exams, sponsored by the International Association
of Administrative Professionals, are offered the first Friday and Saturday
of May and the first Friday and Saturday of November. Many of our department’s
classes can qualify for recertification points for the CPS®
and CAP®. The State of Illinois ranks fifth in the nation
in number of active CPS holders; as of November 2005, Illinois had over
1200 active CPS holders.
We offer four classes to prepare you to take the CPS/CAP®
Exams:
OFC263 Accounting (CPS®)
OFC264 Office Administration and Communication (CPS®)
OFC265 Office Technology (CPS®)
OFC266 Management (CPS®)
The classes are online, offering you the flexibility of 24/7 access to
meet your professional goal of achieving the CAP/CPS designation.
