Jason Reblando: New Deal Utopias —
Model Cities of the Great Depression
January 14 – February 7, 2013
The photographs that Jason Reblando makes investigate topics like race, public housing, and planned communities with the depth of documentary films and the beauty of paintings. With a background in art, journalism, and sociology, Reblando creates work that tells stories and asks questions. He lives in Chicago and teaches at Columbia College. Phillip Soosloff:
Perspectives and Ideas
February 18 – March 14, 2013
Although he could be considered a ceramic artist, Phillip Soosloff’s
mixed media works have evolved to include a wide range of sculptural and painting materials. Soosloff is a Ceramics Professor at Rockford College and a former Harper instructor. His work has been exhibited throughout the country for over twenty years. Learn more about his work at soosloff.com.

36th Annual National Juried Exhibition: Small Works
March 25 – April 18, 2013
This annual exhibition highlights work selected from entries by artists from across the country. The show typically features a wide array of media ranging from photography and prints to painting and sculpture. The Harper College Educational Foundation sponsors this exhibit.

This annual exhibition includes works in various media and styles by students who have taken art courses throughout the year. Each year a professional artist is invited to jury the student’s submissions and select the work for the show..
