David Gentry's interest in art began while he was a student at Harper College in the 1980s. After attending Harper, he pursued his education at the University of Illinois and then at the California College of Arts and Crafts where he received his MFA in sculpture and glass. He is now assistant professor of fine art at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. David shows his work regionally and nationally through many private collections in the United States and Canada. The juxtaposition of natural forms with man-made or industrial materials is a central theme of his work. Please join us in welcoming one of our very own back to Harper to celebrate his outstanding achievement.
