Orchestra
Brian Groner was appointed as Music Director of the Harper Symphony in May of 2006. He also has been Music Director of the Fox Valley Symphony in Appleton, WI since 1995 and conductor of the Symphony Session at the Birch Creek Music Center since 1993.As an active guest conductor, he has appeared on the podium with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the San Diego Symphony, the Chicago Sinfonietta, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and has toured with the Moscow Classical Ballet. His concerts have been featured on satellite broadcasts by National Public Radio in over 50 major radio markets across the nation.
A recent review stated “Over 11 seasons, we’ve reviewed at least seven or eight concerts each year. Not once has Groner failed to provide a vivid, illuminating interpretation and orchestral playing above what his players think should be expected of them. Except now, those players have come to believe that they are capable of achieving extraordinary things. And they are correct in believing so.”
