Sonia Hadar
Violin
Sonia graduated from Tel Aviv University (Israel) where she was a student of Shlomo Bohr and Oedeon Partos. She completed her Suzuki teacher training at the Chicago Suzuki Institute. She was the principal, co-principal 1st violinist in the Haifa Symphony Orchestra (Israel). She has been a member of the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra (South Africa), PACT Ballet and Opera in Praetoria (South Africa), the Israeli Opera and Radio of Israel Light Music Orchestra in Tel Aviv .
She has been a soloist and member in chamber groups including: Ramat Gan (Israel), and I Musicanti of the Cape Town Symphony. Other solo have included appearances with the Israeli Opera and Radio of Israel Light Music Orchestra.
In addition to teaching in the Department of Music at Harper College, Sonia has taught violin at the Beau Soleil Music Center in Capetown (1981-1991). She teaches young children through adults, beginners through advanced students and is an experienced Suzuki teacher.847-456-3802
