Carol Walgren Georgas
Piano
Carol joined the Harper faculty in 1976. She teaches Class Piano and piano in the music department and the Community Music School. She previously taught Class Piano at Northwestern UNiversity for nine years. Her articles have appeared in The American Music Teacher and Keyboard Companion. She has presented lectures on piano study on the local, state and national levels with topics on teaching methods, improvisation, and the piano music of Paul Creston. Georgas received a Bachelor of Music degree from thre University of Iowa and a Master of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University. She has done post graduate work at the University of Illinois.
