Kevin Wood
Trumpet
Kevin has been second trumpet with the Kenosha Symphony since 2000 and in February of 2004 was appointed second trumpet of the Racine Symphony Orchestra. Around Chicagoland, he has performed with many of the area's finest ensembles, including The Chicago Sinfonietta, the Elgin Symphony, the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, the Civic Orchestra, Light Opera Works and the Millar Brass Ensemble. Mr. Wood has also performed with orchestras in Colorado, Michigan and Monterrey, Mexico. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Colorado in 1995 and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from DePaul University in 1998, where he studied with Mark Ridenour of the Chicago Symphony. An active teacher, Mr. Wood is on the faculty of Harper College and Carthage College .
