James (Jong-nam) Park
Viola
James a native of Korea, received a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from Kyung-Hee University in Seoul. After coming to the United States, he completed his Master's degree in Viola Performance at the Peabody Insititute and began his Doctorate at the University of Maryland. He studied with Berl Senofsky, Leri Slutsky, Richard Field and Daniel Foster. Park has performed in Korea and the U.S. as a chamber music player as well as an orchestral performer. He currently teaches violin and viola at Harper College and the North Shore School for the Arts.
