Janice Larson Razaq
Piano
Janice Larson Razaq, piano, teaches beginning to advanced level piano students. She earned her D.M.A. degrees from Texas Tech University and other degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Illinois. On a Fulbright grant, she pursued further studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and performed at Wigmore Hall. Razaq has been a winner of international piano competitions, and has performed on Minnesota Public Radio, at several Mannheimer Piano Festivals at the University of Minnesota/Duluth, at several universities in Texas, at two American Matthay Association Festivals in Georgia and Tennessee, and on the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago. For several seasons Razaq appeared as artist-in-residence soloist with the Harper Symphony Orchestra, and has also appeared as soloist with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra and the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra in Minnesota. She has performed twice for Illinois State Music Teacher's Association Conventions, and is in demand as a concert artist, speaker, and competition judge at the local, state, and regional levels.
