Citing the Gale Publications On Literary Criticism at the Harper College Library

Some of the most popular and most frequently used Reference books in our collection are the Literary Criticism sets published by the Gale Research Company. These works compile excerpts of scholarly articles and essays of literary criticism and reprint these excerpts in user-friendly Reference books. This group of works includes the following:

Citing these works in the proper MLA format for your Works Cited page is essentially a two-step process. You must cite the excerpted article, including all the original publication information, and you must cite the Gale Reference work in which the reprinted excerpt appeared.
