information about authors of literature, Work
Overviews of well-known pieces of literature of all
genres, literary criticism from scholarly journals and
reference books, and links to reviewed World Wide
Web sites about literature. An excellent place to start
your literary research.
Literary Reference Center - Includes more than 10,000 plot summaries, synopses and work overviews, 75,000 articles of literary criticism, 130,000 author biographies, full text of over 300 literary journals, 500,000 book reviews, 25,000 classic and contemporary poems, 11,000 classic and contemporary short stories, full text of over 7,500 classic novels (anticipated by Fall 2006), 3,000 author interviews, and over 1,000 images of key literary figures.
Ebscohost - The premier database for literary research is MLA. This database features citations to articles
in scholarly journals and books, all on the topics of
literature and linguistics. Also, try the Academic Complete database for possible full-text articles (Academic Premier
does not specialize in Literature, however.)
First
Search - Our source of articles on literary topics
is Wilson Select Plus. This is a much smaller
database but may allow you to find a few full-text articles
quickly, to get started on your paper or project.
