Ms. Schulze-Hewett earned her Bachelors degrees in Mathematics and Statistics from Iowa State University. She has Masters degrees in Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

She taught in the math department for UIC for 3 years, where one of her duties was supervising the math student teachers. Then she joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin Rock County campus, where she worked for 2 years before coming to Harper College.

In her spare time, she hangs out with her ever-growing family of cats.
