The Chinese Realm could also include the millions of Chinese who
live outside of China - the Chinese Diaspora.

Where From?
Most of these Chinese came from the south
of China, especially the provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, and the city
of Shanghai . This part of China has historically had more contact
with the outside world and is currently the area containing the
fastest growing Special Economic Zones [SEZ].

Where To?
Most of the Chinese Diaspora (over 30 million) have settled in
the neighboring realm of Southeast Asia. [seasia]

Of course, there are also many "Chinatowns" in major cities around the world

A good example of this is how the riots in Indonesia resulting from the current economic problems were often targeted at the ethnic Chinese Merchants.
