international security, military affairs, and nuclear issues. Its
Bulletin has an article from Stefan Pavlo, the editor of the
Bulgarian Economic Review, examining Russia's possessive interest
in Bulgaria. Russia seems to suggest that it would not take kindly
to Bulgaria entering the NATO alliance. The article explores the
post-devolutionary relationship between Russia and Bulgaria, and
Bulgaria and NATO, and seeks to explain Russia's behavior as a
play, against NATO-member Turkey, for control over the Central
Asian oil trade. The site also maintains the famous Doomsday
Clock, projecting how close the world is to a nuclear conflict,
and the clock is now at 9 minutes to midnight.
