Exam 1

The first exam will constitute 25 % of your final grade.

It will cover Chapters: 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, and the language and religion chapter (book)

You must take the exam in the Harper College Assessement (Testing) Center (See Schedule). You will need a picture ID.

The exam WILL take well over an hour. Plan to have enough time. The Center closes on time - they will not wait for you to finish.

Testing Center Hours

The exam will consist of approximately 40 multiple choice questions and 4 or 5 essay/short answer/problem-type questions.

The exam questions will be based on the following:

• the chapter activities
• the chapter vocabulary
• the chapter readings (including the introduction to each chapter and the activitiy background material = all the reading.)

These questions have any answers online. See "ANSWERS" link at the top of the page. If you have questions use the discussion forum.

Outline of Chapter Readings: Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Language and Religion Chapter 10 NOTE: There will be exam questions that are not like the review questions or the activity questions Study the textbook like you would study your notes from a regular on-campus face-to-face course.

Exam 2

• It will cover chapters: 5, 7, 13, 6, 8, 9
• You must take the exam in the Harper College Assessement (Testing) Center (See Schedule). You will need a picture ID.
• The exam WILL take over an hour. Plan to have enough time. The Center closes on time - they will not wait for you to finish.

  • the chapter activities

  • the chapter readings (including the introduction to each chapter, the activitiy background material, the activities, and additional readings assigned by your instructor.)
