There are three required activities/assignments. They are designed to prepare you for the unit exams AND to make you begin to think like a geographer. You may want to review the introductory online lecture on "What is geography?". The study of geography requires that we know WHERE things are, and more importantly, WHY THEY ARE THERE. The "things" that geographers study can be almost anything that has a spatial component. Hopefully these assignments will make you examine the WHY question and will show you the usefulness of the spatial perspective.
Students will complete the assigned activities and mail them in 10 inch by 13 inch (10"x13") manilla envelope to the instructor at this address:Mark Healy
3718 E. Lake Shore Dr.
Wonder Lake, IL 60097Include the following in your 10"x13" envelope:
- the completed assignment and
- a 9"x12" manilla envelope, self-addressed on a harper address label (address labels will be distributed at the on-campus orientation).
