Subordinating Conjunctions

Subordinating conjunctions link dependent and independent clauses.

after although as as if as though because before
if even if even though how in order that rather than once
since so than that though till unless
until when where while whether wherever why

The deal is that, even though a dependent clause has a subject and a verb, it cannot stand alone as a complete sentence. It's a drag, but easy to fix. Here you might try some connecting with rearranging--it's a little more flashy, but at least you can dance to it.

The world turns me on. Because it is round.

Correction: "Because the world is round, it turns me on." --Lennon & McCartney
