Connect Fragments

It's often simple to connect the fragment to a nearby complete sentence, then repunctuate as needed. This works best when the focus of your idea is in the complete sentence.

Daniel Boone was a man, yes, a big man, with an eye like an eagle and as tall as an old oak tree.
