SowHope documentary screening

There are 1.5 billion women in the world who make less than $2 per day. The global organization SowHope works to provide these women living in extreme poverty with basic holistic care through wellness, education and economic programs.

The nonprofit organization, whose projects have directly impacted the lives of more than 38,000 women, will visit Harper College from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, for a documentary screening and discussion.

The film “Let Me Sow Hope” exposes the overwhelming challenges and vulnerabilities faced by impoverished women in the developing world, as well as the transformational effect of hope.

The event, sponsored by Harper’s International Studies and Programs, is free and open to the public. It will take place in Room A243 in Building A of Harper’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
