Any and all creative thinkers are welcome to the Harper College Graphic Arts Design Club’s first Creative Conference from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 22 in the Avanté Center, Room Z105, on the College’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
The free event, which is open to the public but aimed at high school and college students, will bring together professionals from the advertising, interactive media, photography, illustration, package design and creative design fields to inspire budding designers. The theme is “Imagining life from pixel through print.”
“The conference is an opportunity for students to interact and network with people who work in these industries,” said student and club member Aaron Wagner. “Harper has such a robust program, but these events help us to really see the careers that are out there.”
