Harper College's partnership with the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign offers an opportunity for qualifying students to gain guaranteed admission.
Incoming Harper students selected for the Engineering Pathways program will complete specific core science, math and English courses and then transfer to the U. of I. College of Engineering, currently ranked sixth in the nation by U.S. News World and Report.
Information sessions will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in the Avanté Center, Room Z102; at the Harper Open House for high school juniors and seniors and their parents from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Wojcik Conference Center; and at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, in Building D, Room D193X. All sessions are on the College's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
Applications to the fall 2015 Engineering Pathways program, which was launched at Harper in 2012, are due Nov. 1. for early decision and March 1 for regular admission.
