Engineering Pathways to U of I

Guaranteed admission to The Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

For incoming freshman students interested in transferring to the The Grainger College of Engineering at UIUC, the Engineering Pathways program is an opportunity for qualifying students to gain guaranteed admission to this highly competitive and top-ranked program. 

Students must apply in spring of their senior year in high school.

About Harper's Engineering Pathways students

  • 61% received full-ride scholarships
  • 91% are eligible for the Honors program

Apply in spring for fall entry

Visit UIUC's Engineering Pathways site for the Engineering Pathways application, which is open annually from January to early-April. UIUC may adjust dates as needed.

Note: A proctored ALEKS math placement test is mandatory for all Engineering Pathways applicants and may not be waived. Learn how to prepare for and take the ALEKS math placement test.
