Who can join the challenge?
This challenge is open to all persons at least eighteen (18) years of age.
How long is the challenge?
The challenge begins Monday, October 16, 2020 and ends on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
How do I keep track of my steps?
The best way to keep track of your steps is by using a tracking device such as a Fitbit or Garmin. There are also Apps that can track your steps like Map My Walk or My Fitness Pal.
What if I don't have an app or a tracking device?
You can easily keep track of your activities in minutes and use the Activity Equivalent Chart to convert your activities to steps.
How do I convert my activities into steps without a device or app?
Use the Activity Equivalent Chart to convert your activities to steps.
Can I enter all of my steps for an entire day from my tracking device?
Yes! You can enter the total number of steps throughout your entire day.
How do I calculate my steps for the entire day if I don't have a device or app?
Use the Activity Equivalent Chart to convert any activity that you do throughout the day.
How do I enter my steps each week?
Please complete our Weekly Tracking Form once you submit the sheet the Campus Rec staff will receive a copy.
Who do I send my step totals to?
Once you complete the Weekly Tracking Form, we will receive a copy of your completed form. No need to email us!
When do I need to enter my steps for the week?
All weekly activity must be entered by each individual participant via the Weekly Tracking Form no later than 12 noon on the Monday after the previous week (Monday through Sunday).
What if I cannot access the Weekly Tracking Form?
Please email Veronica Tantoco directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you cannot access the Weekly Tracking Form. Veronica will respond to you with next steps.

What are the equivalents for Harper Campus Rec Virtual Workouts?
Use this list for calculating activity equivalents for the Campus Rec Virtual Workouts:
Full Body Circuit Training:199 steps per minute
Yoga: 45 steps per minute
HIIT: 199 steps per minute
Move, Manipulate and Meditate: 94 steps per minute
Core Strength and Stability: 121 steps per minute
Pilates Circuit Training: 121 steps per minute
Do I need to double my steps on my weekly tracking from if I attend a Harper Campus
Rec Virtual Workout?
Yes! Double the steps on the weekly tracking from if you have participated in a Harper Campus rec Virtual workout when you participate in a Harper Campus Rec Virtual Workouts.
What if my activity is not on the equivalent list?
Use your best judgement, things like grocery shopping can be equivalent to walking/stroll. Tennis can be equivalent to aerobics/step.
How can I win the $20 Amazon gift card in the weekly drawing?
All active individual participants (those that submitted a weekly tracking form for the week of the drawing) are entered into a weekly drawing including all individuals registered to a team. Each participant will be assigned a number (internally) and an online random number generator will be used to select a random number. That number will correspond to a participant number to determine the winner of the weekly drawing.
When are the weekly drawing winners announced?
Weekly drawing winners will be notified by 4 p.m. on the Thursday after the week of the drawing. Weekly drawings are based on the week starting on a Monday and ending on Sunday.
How do I collect the Amazon gift card if I win the drawing?
Weekly drawing winners will be sent the Amazon virtual gift card via email.
Overall Individual Challenge Prize
What is the prize for the overall individual challenge?
The winner wins a Fitbit Inspire 2 Health & Fitness Tracker with a Free 1-Year Fitbit Premium Trial, 24/7 Heart Rate, one size in black worth $99.95. One individual who participates in all four weeks and earns the most steps will win.
How do I win the overall individual challenge prize?
Campus Rec staff will track individual activities/steps based on the individuals weekly entries during the entire four weeks. The one individual who participates in all four weeks and earns the most steps will win.
When will the overall challenge winner be notified?
The overall individual challenge winner will be notified no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Campus Recreation staff will notify the winners via email.
How do I collect the overall individual challenge prize?
The Fit Bit will be delivered directly to the winner via Amazon.
Overall Team Participation Prize
What is the overall team participation prize?
All members of the winning team or teams will win a Campus Rec Intramural T-shirt.
Who keeps track of my team's participation?
Campus Rec staff will track all participation and determine the team or teams that have had all team members actively participate in the challenge for the entire four weeks.
When will the team members be notified that they won?
Overall team participation winners will be notified no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Campus Rec staff will notify the winning via email.
How does the winning team get their t-shirt?
T-shirts will be distributed to the Team Captain of the team. The team captain will distribute the t-shirts to the members of the team.
Will I be able to choose a size for the t-shirt?
Yes. the team captain will gather the size information for the team. We will make every effort to provide the sizes requested.
Limit one (1) entry per person/email for the duration of the promotion. Entries submitted from any person/email address in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries and information become the property of Harper Campus Recreation and will not be returned or verified. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated or mechanical means or that subverts the entry process will be void.
