FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATION (LRP 0011): Food Manager Certification is an important job qualification in the food service industry. Whether you are earning or maintaining a certification, Illinois requires completion of an approved eight-hour course, passing the national exam, and paying a $35 fee to IDPH. Certificates are valid for five years from the exam date. Attendees must have the approved textbook, ServSafe Manager, 7th Ed., available at the Harper bookstore. You should read the entire book before arriving to class in order to prepare for the national exam at the end of the class. With prior arrangement, the exam can be taken in Spanish.
Please note, not all courses are offered every semester.
