Co-Op/Internship Experience
Co-op and internship experiences are opportunities to apply what you have learned in the classroom in a work setting. These experiences are related to your career field of interest, are performed with or without pay and may be full or part-time. Positions are available in a wide range of settings, including business, government, the arts and non-profit organizations.
While the terms co-op and internship may be used interchangeably, at Harper, "co-op experience" is considered non-credit work experience while an "internship" is a credit course supervised by faculty.
Finding a co-op and internship experience takes thought, planning and preparation.
