Wellness at the Health and Recreation Center

Health and wellness is an important component to overall personal and professional success. Wellness is not merely the absence of illness or distress – wellness is striving for positive physical, mental and social well-being.

Wellness is an iterative and lifelong process, which consists of making decisions that support a more balanced life. In turn, creating a more balanced life enables you to maximize your potential. While physical health is an important component to overall wellness, there are several other dimensions that contribute to an individual’s well-being:

  • Emotional wellness
  • Intellectual wellness
  • Social wellness
  • Spiritual wellness
  • Environmental wellness
  • Occupational wellness
  • Financial wellness
  • Physical wellness

Here at the Health and Recreation Center we are committed to ensuring that Harper students and employees have a variety of wellness resources, programs, and support that will impact their lives at Harper and beyond.
