October Financial Aid Tips

The 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open. By applying early, you will be considered for the maximum number of financial aid awards. Applying early also gives you more time to make financial plans.

Filing the 2022-2023 FAFSA is easier than you might expect, especially when using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) which electronically transfers your federal tax return Information directly into the FAFSA form. You will:

  • Use 2020 federal income tax in formation,
  • Use a separate FSA ID for the student and parent, and
  • Go online to Complete the FAFSA Form or use the myStudentAid mobile app.
  •
