Harper College offers a wide variety of political science courses that examine the powers, functions and structures of governments worldwide. Topics in American politics encompass the distinction between local, state, and federal governments and the contemporary issues addressed by each. Students may also take political science classes that explore the governmental structures and political patterns of Europe, the Middle East, and other regions to gain a deeper understanding of the world and new perspectives on global issues.
