The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grants to Harper College since March 2020. This funding is for the disbursement of emergency financial aid grants to students and to defray institutional expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the three HEERF grant awards, Harper has allocated more than $23 million as direct payments to students

U.S. Department of Labor/OSHA

This Capacity Building Developmental Follow-on grant provides funding to build a new, full-scale occupational safety and health training program at Harper. Training is developed for and offered to eligible participants, including small business (less than 250 employees) employers and workers. Training is available in English and Spanish and is free of charge to participants. Harper expects to train 420 individuals and deliver 1,900 contact hours of training.
