Harper College Board of Trustees announces vacancy following resignation of Diane Hill

Harper College has announced a vacancy on its Board of Trustees following the resignation of Trustee Diane Hill, effective January 22, 2026. Hill is stepping away to spend more time with family and friends.

Hill was appointed to the Harper College Board of Trustees in 2008 and was subsequently elected to three six-year terms. She served as board chair from 2010 to 2015 and has been a longtime advocate for Harper College and its students.

“We are grateful for Diane’s many years of dedicated service and leadership,” Board Chair Bill Kelley said. “As a trustee and former board chair, she played a critical role in guiding the college through periods of growth and transition, always with a focus on students and the community. Her influence will be felt at Harper for years to come.”

The Harper College Board of Trustees is now seeking applications from qualified individuals to fill the vacant position. The individual appointed will serve through the April 2027 board meeting and will be succeeded by the individual elected in the April 6, 2027, election. The appointee is eligible to run for the seat in that election.
