The Tree, the Window, the Shape of Light

The objects Mark Holmes creates are boldly sculptural while possessing elements of abstract painting. His early career as a furniture maker is evident in the construction techniques and materiality of his post-minimalist work. Holmes has exhibited his work in galleries and museums around the country. He is based in Galesburg, IL where he recently retired as Professor of Art at Knox College.
