How to Apply to College Now

Ready to get started? Follow these steps to apply for College Now! To apply, students must complete all the steps below by the deadline. No late applications will be accepted.

Step 1: Complete the online application by October 1

Complete the application for your school:

District 211 Application

District 214 Application

District 220 Application

Step 2: Program approval

You’ll be notified by October 22. After schools review all applications, families will receive a notification of conditional acceptance.

Step 3: Confirm your spot

Commitment deadline: November 1
Students who are accepted must officially commit to the program and submit the parent acknowledgment form.

Step 4: Attend the orientation

All accepted students and at least one parent/guardian are required to attend a program orientation (in-person or virtual) session in January. Date and location will be shared in your acceptance letter. At orientation, you’ll:

Meet your support team
Learn what to expect from the College Now experience
Receive important details about schedules, transportation, and resources

Step 5: Complete the Harper College Dual Credit Application

Dual Credit Application - Step by Step by Guide
Some students may have already completed the Harper College Dual Credit Application. Confirm with your school counselor to determine if this step has been completed.

Step 6: Placement testing

Students must complete required placement testing to determine eligibility for college-level coursework. Testing must be completed by April of the sophomore year. More information will be provided to you regarding testing upon acceptance.
