3. Attendance and transportation

Attendance

  • Required, must notify instructors/district for absences
  • Students follow the college calendar for classes taken on the college campus and the high-school calendar for their high-school classes.

Transportation

  • Junior year: District-provided shuttles
  • Senior year: Optional shuttles (parents may opt out with alternate plan)

4. Tuition, fees and textbooks

  • $1000 ($250 per semester) paid by the families 
  • Free/Reduced Lunch students may qualify for full waivers

5. College course policies

  • Placement testing requirement
  • Formal drop/withdraw procedures
  • Rules on course repetition (at student's expense)
  • FERPA student/parent consent

6. Student life and engagement

  • Eligible for extracurriculars at both HS and Harper
  • Leadership roles and community events encouraged
  • Maintain engagement with HS traditions
  • Access to Harper facilities (ie. Tutoring Center, Academic Support Center, Health and Recreation Center)

7. Graduation and transfer planning

  • Requirements: Completion of all necessary credits
  • Students will request their high-school and Harper College transcripts to send to 4-year institutions
  • Transfer planning via Harper’s advising office
  • Degree fulfillment by end of senior year
