Online Asynchronous Class Information:

  • There are specific due dates that you must meet for homework and assessments (tests, quizzes).
  • There is no guarantee of scheduled meetings with the teacher/class.
  • You can study independently when you have time during the week.
  • Different teachers organize classes differently. If you have already taken an online class at Harper College, do not expect this class to be the same.

  •  Reliable internet connection (Wifi)

  • Using the Internet
  • Sending email messages
  • Sending file attachments
  • Saving, opening and closing files
  • Using video/audio for online meetings and tests
  • Using Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word 
    • Harper College provides free access to Microsoft Office to all students. Visit www.office.com and login with your Harper username and password.
