Engineering Pathways is a partnership program wherein successful students are guaranteed admission to the major of their choice to the Grainer College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Students enrolled in the program complete the foundational coursework typical of the first two years in any engineering or computer science program. All technical coursework in the plan of study, including mathematics, science, computer science, and major specific courses, must be completed for a grade while enrolled in the program. Prior credit, including through AP and dual enrollment, may not be used to satisfy technical coursework requirements for the program. Advising is provided by Harper and Grainger Engineering advisors to ensure that students are selecting appropriate coursework for their desired major. Successful completion of the Engineering Pathways program requires that students earn an overall GPA of 3.5/4.0 with no C grades in any course, complete study hours on campus, and meet regularly with both of their advisors.
