Julie Malecki is an active performer of opera, oratorio, and concert works in the Chicago area and throughout the country. Notable operatic roles have included Alice Ford (Falstaff), La Principessa (La bella dormente nel bosco), Mary Warren (The Crucible), Mother Hen/The Innkeeper’s Wife (The Adventures of Little Sharp Ears), and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte). In addition, she has appeared as a concert soloist for such works as Handel’s Messiah with Fox Valley Opera and Vivaldi’s Magnificat with the Naperville Chorus.

Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from North Central College, a master’s degree in vocal performance from North Park University, and a DMA in vocal performance and literature from the University of Illinois. She is currently a member of the voice faculty at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois and serves as the Director of Operations for Fox Valley Opera in the Chicago suburbs.
