Adam is a freelance teacher and performer in Chicago pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Iowa. In addition to his work at the University of Iowa, Adam regularly performs, teaches, and leads masterclasses. He recently toured Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Ohio Northern University, Ohio Christian University, and Valparaiso University to present ideas about musician's health.

Adam graduated Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and University of Iowa and recieved his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees, respectively. In school, Adam served as an Artist in Residence at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and performed in several ensembles. He held positions with the St. Louis Philharmonic, St. Louis Brass Band, Union Avenue Opera, Old Capital Quintet, and the award-winning Iowa Tuba Quartet. As a performer and teacher, he has presented recitals and masterclasses for the International Tuba and Euphonium Association, the University of Iowa, Luther College, and many more.

Additionally, Adam developed a passion for Wind Symphony and pursued band conducting as his secondary area-of-study during his DMA. He has had the pleasure of leading the Iowa Concert Band, the University of Iowa Wind Symphony, and was invited to several local high schools and colleges to serve as a guest clinician. As a private lesson instructor, Adam has maintained a successful studio for over two decades. Many of his students have been awarded scholarships and prestigious fellowships, hold positions in orchestras, and perform around the country. Adam's success is attributed to his work with his teachers Jan Kagarice, John Manning, David Gier, Roger Rocco, and Mike Sanders.
