Adjunct Faculty Teaching and Learning Conference

Conference Overview

The Adjunct Faculty Teaching & Learning Conference is hosted by the Academy for Teaching Excellence every fall semester in September. The conference is an opportunity to:

  • provide adjunct faculty with a meaningful professional development experience that supports student success and meets the unique needs of adjunct faculty;
  • learn about College initiatives and campus resources for faculty, staff, and students;
  • connect with campus departments, the Academy team, and colleagues;
  • explore new instructional tools and techniques;
  • build a sense of community with the College and faculty peers.

The theme and format of the conference varies each year, but typically includes resource tables hosted by campus departments, dinner, remarks from the Provost, adjunct faculty presentations or a keynote speaker, an interactive community-building component, and a raffle or giveaways.

Overall, the conference is an annual tradition of gathering to learn and grow together, celebrating our adjunct faculty who are a vital part of teaching and learning at Harper College, and making time for camaraderie and connection.
