Harper College will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
The Academy for Teaching Excellence provides professional development credit opportunities for all Harper faculty (both full-time and adjunct) each semester including Graduate Equivalency Courses (GECs), workshops, conferences, and collaborative programs with other campus departments. Modalities include in person, virtual (online live or asynchronous), and on demand. We encourage all interested faculty to take advantage of these opportunities to enhance their teaching skills and engage with innovative instructional methods.
Questions? Please contact the Academy at 847.925.6174, academy@harpercollege.edu.
Individuals with disabilities who would like to request an accommodation or who have questions about access may contact the event host or Access and Disability Services at ads@harpercollege.edu, 847.925.6266, at least two weeks in advance of the event date.
Occasionally, the Academy for Teaching Excellence may have to cancel a program due to circumstances beyond our control. With the exception of instructor illness and inclement weather, the decision to cancel a program will be made 48 hours prior to the scheduled date of the program. In the event of a cancellation, the Academy will make every effort to notify registered participants via their Harper College email account. If you have a concern about a program you have registered for being cancelled, please contact academy@harpercollege.edu or call 847.925.6174.
