Community College District 512 Trustee Election Packet

Terms of Office Open

There are three six-year terms for the Harper College Board of Trustees. Successful candidates shall serve terms beginning with the organizational Board Meeting in May 2027 and ending at the reorganizational Board Meeting in April 2033.

Qualifications

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen; be 18 years of age or older on the date of the election; be a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding the election and not be a member of a common school board.

Location: Harper College Wojcik Conference Center, Building W, Suite W301-307
Office Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., except for November 23 is 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Important Dates:

First day to circulate nominating petitions: Tuesday, August 25, 2026
Filing period for nominating petitions: November 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 23, 2026
The last day to file is Monday, November 23, 2026. The office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that day.
If a lottery is needed for ballot position, it will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, 9:00 a.m., Suite W301-307
Last day to file objections: Wednesday, December 2, 2026, Office Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Suite W301-307
Election Day: Tuesday, April 6, 2027
