As a partner of Harper College’s University Center, DePaul University offers you the
opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Sport Management program
on Harper’s campus. This degree is offered through DePaul University's School of Continuing
and Professional Studies (SCPS), a long-standing leader in providing educational opportunities
for working adults.

DePaul University’s Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Sport Management prepares you
for leadership careers within the dynamic sport, recreation, fitness and entertainment
industries. Designed for transfer students and working adults, the program combines
business, leadership, communication and operational training with applied industry
knowledge to help students succeed in a wide range of recreation and sport environments.

Recommended courses
Students planning to enroll in DePaul’s Recreation and Sport Management degree at
the University Center are strongly encouraged to complete the following courses listed
below prior to their enrollment in the program.
- ENG 101 & 102 – English Composition
- MATH 102 – General Education Mathematics
- MGT 111 - Introduction to Business Organization
- MTH 165 – Elementary Statistics
- PHI 101 - Critical Thinking
- PSY 101 - Introduction to Psychology
- SOC 101 - Introduction to Sociology
Admission requirements
- 2.0 GPA or higher
- Minimum 60 semester hours earned prior to admission
- Completion of an associate degree is recommended but not required
Application process
- Submit an application at depaul.edu/apply, selecting "Harper University Center" when
prompted on the Partnerships and Agreements page of the application.
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities where you have previously
enrolled. Students with prior college credit will receive a transfer credit evaluation
upon admission.
- There is no application fee for this program.
- You do not need to have attended Harper College for admission to this program.
- After your application is complete and you have been admitted, you will be contacted
by a DePaul academic advisor to schedule an initial advising appointment.
