Pianist Chiayi Lee received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa, and both a Masters’ degree and a Performer’s Certificate from Northern Illinois University. Chiayi is an active pianist with an extensive background in solo and chamber music performance. As an avid chamber musician, she has collaborated with numerous ensembles, instrumentalists, and vocalists. She has worked for Cedar Rapid Opera Theatre, Dupage Opera Theatre, Interactive Opera Company, Elgin Opera and Soiree Lyrique. She served as a member of the piano faculty and was the staff accompanist at Coe College, and she was also the staff accompanist at Cornell College while she was pursuing her doctoral degree. Teaching is also a passion of hers. She enjoys teaching class piano and students of all levels.
Dr. Lee currently serves on the adjunct piano faculty and is the collaborative pianist at Harper College.
