LPN to RN Bridge Plan of Study

Plan of Study for Transition from Practical Nursing to Associate in Applied Science A.A.S.: Nursing Degree

This 3-semester program is designed to enable students who have obtained licensure in practical nursing to receive an Associate in Applied Science degree in Nursing at the completion of the threesemester plan of study. Students must have an active Practical Nurse License prior to beginning the program. The program is approved by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc (ACEN). The Associate in Applied Science degree in Nursing qualifies the graduate for NCLEX-RN and application for Illinois licensure as a registered nurse. Legal limitations could prohibit an individual from taking this licensing examination. First semester courses must be completed prior to beginning second semester courses and second semester course must be complete prior to beginning third semester courses.
