Charting a Bold Path Forward: Harper College Educational Foundation’s Strategic Vision for 2026–2030

Serving 2030 students by 2030Following the record-breaking success of the INSPIRE Campaign, which raised more than $33 million and established 75 new scholarships, the Harper College Educational Foundation (HCEF) is proud to unveil its new strategic framework, guiding its efforts from January 2026 through June 2030.

This forward-looking plan renews HCEF’s commitment to its mission: Connecting college and community through philanthropy to support transformative education and career opportunities. At the heart of the plan is a simple, powerful impact goal: support 2,030 students by 2030.

Recognizing that financial resources alone isn’t enough, the new strategy emphasizes both financial and non-financial support to empower students to persist, thrive, and succeed. With priorities grounded in trust, community, and opportunity, the Foundation seeks to create a campus culture where every student feels supported—academically, personally, and professionally.

To achieve this, HCEF will focus on four key strategic priorities:

  • Student and Program Success: The Foundation will expand its philanthropic resources to advance scholarships and cutting-edge academic and workforce programs. This includes a bold goal to grow the Foundation’s endowment by $10 million, ensuring long-term student support.
  • Non-Financial Engagement: Aiming to triple the number of active mentors and volunteers from 100 to 350 the Foundation will deepen its partnerships with alumni, donors, and the business community to offer students vital mentorship, advocacy, and career-building opportunities.
  • Alumni Engagement: Alumni will play a larger role in Harper’s future, not just as donors but as ambassadors, mentors, and storytellers. The plan targets a 25% increase in alumni engagement by 2030.
  • Operational Excellence: By streamlining systems and enhancing donor experiences through innovative technology and inclusive leadership, the Foundation will build an even stronger, more responsive organization.

“We are excited to build on the momentum of the INSPIRE Campaign,” said Heather Zoldak, Chief Advancement Officer. “This new plan helps us envision a future where every Harper student has the resources and relationships they need to achieve their goals.”

The Harper College Educational Foundation invites the entire community to join in this next chapter. Together, we will continue transforming lives—one student at a time.
